Boeing Selects Cockpit System Partner, Competing For Brazilian Jet Contract

Boeing has selected Elbit Systems to provide displays for fighter jet cockpit systems as Boeing offers its Super Hornet for a Brazilian fighter competition, Boeing announced Thursday.

This follows an agreement announced in March, where Elbit will provide large area displays for cockpit systems in Super Hornets and the F-15 family, including the Silent Eagle.

Boeing, Elbit and Elbit’s Brazilian subsidiary AEL Sistemas are also collaborating on a distributed simulation project to develop avionics for fixed-wing platforms and rotorcrafts.

Boeing is also opening a research and development center in Brazil, where the company will collaborate with partners in the private, public and academic sectors.
