Dan Chenok Named IBM Govt Business Center Head

Dan Chenok will succeed Jonathan Breul as executive director of IBM‘s Center for the Business of Government, effective June 30.

The company said Breul led the center’s senior fellows for nearly five years, studying issues in performance management, government budgeting and presidential transitions.

Chenok is currently a senior fellow and partner with the center, where he manages technology and business strategy consulting.

He previously served as a senior vice president for civilian operations at Pragmatics and spent time at SRA International as a vice president for business solutions and offerings.

His government experience includes service as branch chief for information policy and technology at the Office of Management and Budget, where he worked with federal information technology policy, cybersecurity and budgeting.

In 2008, he served on the president’s transition team as the government lead for the technology, innovation, and government reform group and as a member of OMB’s agency review team.
