Unisys Corp. has won a potential $80 million contract to help manage the American Red Cross’ information technology infrastructure, the company announced Thursday.
Under the five-year contract, which contains two option years, the company will provide the organization with customer support and data center managed services.
The Red Cross is a new customer for the company, said Ron Frankenfield, president of global management services.
The company’s managed services centers in Salt Lake City and Rochester, N.Y. will oversee on-site services, IT asset management and service desk support for the Red Cross’ 20,000 employees in 50 states and Puerto Rico.
Red Cross workers will receive telephone, chat, email and web support through the company’s integrated IT services management infrastructure for end-user services.
Data center services will be based in the company’s Eagan, Minn. facility and disaster recovery backup will be based in Salt Lake City.
