HP Enterprise Services has won a $50 million agreement from Delaware’s division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance to continue providing Medicaid fiscal-agent services for an additional three years.
According to a Monday release, the contract has a one-year base period and two one-year options.
Susan Arthur, vice president for U.S. health and life sciences industry, said states need modern and flexible technology to provide quality healthcare services for its citizens, especially with the fast-changing federal healthcare mandates and increasing Medicaid population.
Through the extension, HP will continue managing Delaware’s Medicaid Management Information Systems, known as the first state Medicaid system.
Additional work will support a broad range of Medicaid services, including eligibility verification, pharmacy and medical claims processing, administration of Delaware’s drug rebate program and call center support.
