URS Wins $22M Modification for Navy Submarine Services

URS Corp.‘s federal technical services division was awarded a $21,977,441 contract modification to provide professional support services for U.S. Navy submarine systems, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The modification provides additional funding to support submarine towed array systems, associated component systems and hull sensor systems.

Under the contract, URS will render professional support services in key areas of program analysis, administration, financials, technical and engineering support, information technology and life cycle support.

Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be complete by September 2012.

Contract funds amounting to $4,808,019 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
