Carahsoft to Sell Cloudera Big Data Software on GSA Schedule

Carahsoft Technology Corp. is partnering with data management software provider Cloudera to offer big data software and services to federal agencies, Carahsoft announced Tuesday.

Carahsoft will offer Cloudera’s Hadoop-based platform on a General Services Administration Schedule.

Cloudera wants to help agencies leverage big data to accomplish their missions, said Tim Stevens, vice president of business and corporate development

According to Carahsoft, more than half of the Fortune 50 run an open source version of Apache Hadoop, based on Cloudera.

IKANOW recently teamed up with Carahsoft to bring a knowledge discovery and data platform to the federal market, with Carahsoft having responsibility for sales and marketing.
