Mike Rampino is vice president of intelligence at SRA International, where he leads the strategy, sales and capture team for the company’s intelligence- and space-related activities and is responsible for new business acquisition in the market.
He is currently vice president of the executive committee for the Aerospace Industries Association’s space council.
SRA says his areas of experience include sustainment, systems development, production and lifecycle management for information technology, command and control, surveillance and logistics systems.
He joined the company in 2011 after serving as vice president and general manager for a business segment at Honeywell, where he led an organization that delivered space, networks and communications services to intelligence, defense and civilian agencies.
Rampino also spent time at NASA, where he helped lead initiation of some recent exploration programs.
While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he led three operational units, an overseas air base and a space operations group which operated during the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan and 2003 invasion of Iraq.
He has served two tours of duty at the Pentagon, first as a member of the Joint Staff and then as the chair of the Air Staff’s space panel.
Along with his Air Force Academy degree, he graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology and the School of Advanced Airpower Studies. He has completed a National Defense Fellowship at Harvard University’s Olin Institute for Strategic Studies.
