McAfee, DHS Sign Network Security Enterprise Agreement; James Yeager Comments

McAfee and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have signed an enterprise level agreement for agency-wide network and system security support, the company announced Monday.

The security software and technology provider won a blanket purchase agreement from DHS last year and the company has worked with DHS since the department’s inception in 2003.

This deal reflects the amount of collaboration within DHS, said James Yeager, regional director for federal civilian sales.

DHS is attempting to take a holistic, enterprise-wide approach toward security as opposed to patchwork.

The company will provide products and services to help DHS with continuous monitoring as well.

McAfee says DHS also intends for the enterprise-wide framework to meet current and future security requirements.
