Axiom to Provide Business, Corporate Support for Military Healthcare; Douglas Peardon Comments

Axiom Resource Management has won two contracts to provide support services for federal and military healthcare information technology programs.

The company said it won a potential three-year contract, with one base year and two option years, to provide business operational support services to the Defense Health Information Management System, within the Tricare Management Activity.

Under a second contract, potentially over four and one-half years, the company will provide corporate support to the Interagency Program Office for the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

“We were the incumbent vendor on the DHIMS competition,” said A. Douglas Peardon, an Axiom managing partner.

The IPO is “responsible for the development and implementation of the iEHR (integrated electronic health record) and VLER (virtual lifetime electronic record),” said Kevin Riley, another managing partner. “It’s a mission that will impact DoD, VA, and healthcare across the nation.”

The contract with the joint DoD-VA office has a six-month base period and four option years.
