CGI to Run Colorado Health Insurance Marketplace Computer Systems; Dave Delgado Comments

CGI Group will develop, implement, operate and maintain the computer systems for Colorado’s new web-based health insurance marketplace, the company announced Tuesday.

Using its Health Insurance Exchange360 platform, the company’s healthcare information technology team will work with the Colorado Health Benefit Exchange to build a system for customers to determine eligibility and choose health plans.

The company is aiming for the system to meet state and federal timelines, said Dave Delgado, senior vice president for the company’s west business unit.

According to CGI, HIE360 is a technology platform aligned with Affordable Care Act requirements and compliant with regulations under the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture.

Last week, CGI announced it would update and manage the state’s financial and procurement system under a $78 million contract.
