Cobham has received $3 million in a contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with deployable oxygen generation systems, the company announced today.
The USAF’s Air Combat Command awarded the contract, with an estimated ceiling value of $20 million, to acquire Deployable Oxygen Generation System- Medium systems.
Kelly Coffield, Cobham Life Support president, said the portable DOGS-M is a point-of-use medical oxygen generation and cylinder recharging capability that will deliver high volume medical oxygen to provide flexible respiratory treatment in the field.
The company said the DOGS-M system will be used as an alternative to cylinders, to provide users with logistics and storage space savings.
The DOGS-M system is compatible with recharging the Mobile Oxygen Storage Tank storage systems and interfaces with the Patient Oxygen Delivery System hospital oxygen distribution system.
Cobham intends to introduce DOGS-M to additional military medical service groups as part of its efforts to expand its military medical product offerings.
