Noblis Wins BPA to Support GSA Sustainable Facilities Tool; Robert Wassman Comments
Robert Wassman
Noblis Inc. has won a new blanket purchase agreement with the General Services Administration to support the agency’s green building initiatives, the company said.
Noblis announced on Oct. 1 that it will continue to support GSA’s Office of Government-wide Policy Office of Federal High-Performance Green Buildings under the five-year contract.
“We see the positive impact that GSA’s efforts are making on the federal government’s operations and are proud to continue being a part of their vision to build a strong and sustainable clean energy economy,” said Robert Wassmann, senior manager at Noblis.
Through the contract, Noblis and the OFHPGB will collaborate on the broad dissemination of sustainable strategies via SFTool.gov, SF Mobile and other associated channels.
This effort will help facilitate the adoption of proven high-performance green building technologies and green procurement strategies, according to the report.
As prime contractor of the GSA Sustainable Facilities Tool, Noblis will also lead the development of the next generation of SFTool and additional SFTool modules; create enhanced content capabilities and provide auxiliary support services to the OFHPGB.
In addition, Noblis said it will provide ongoing support to OFHPGB’s sustainability efforts and help to accelerate the government’s transformation to high-performance buildings.
The GSA SFTool and the SF Mobile were designed to help users develop strategies, standards, guidance, and measures to improve operational performance and achieve federal sustainability goals.
Noblis also previously worked with the GSA in developing the Green Products Compilation module, and the GSA Carbon Footprint Tool.
