The company said the new 15,000-square-foot center, located at the Cascades business park in The Colony, will serve as the company’s worldwide service center.

An open house is taking place Thursday for customers, employees and partners.

This new effort is part of the company’s expansion in the Dallas area, home to several large communications companies and academic institutions, Chief Operating Officer Randy Fuerst said in a release.

Fuerst added the company will use the facility for responding to customers when they ask for broadband wireless technology to deliver voice, video and data communications and meet mandates.

“Oceus’ growing presence in the Dallas area is key to our long-term success,” CEO Doug Smith said, adding the new facility will complement the company’s engineering and research and development operations in the area.

The company has an office and technology lab in the Plano Legacy Town Center for engineering and R&D work.
