Professional services contractor Attain has appointed Rich McKinless director for strategic finance, where he will lead finance and enterprise initiatives under the company’s strategic finance service line.
The company said he will report to John O’Neill, president for higher education and academic medical centers, and work with Ron Aalluzzo, strategic finance practice lead.
McKinless has “provided professional services at the most senior levels of executive and board leadership for educational, philanthropic, research, and other tax exempt organizations over his entire career,” O’Neill said.
McKinless will also help charities, universities and other not-for-profit organizations align resources with strategy, update governance processes and identify financial operations improvements.
Before joining Attain, he served as one of six U.S. partners on the leadership team for KPMG’s not-for-profit practice, which worked with philanthropic and higher education clients nationally on governance issues and best practices.
He also served as a national instructor for KPMG’s professional development programs, the mid-Atlantic partner in-charge of university recruiting and led the expansion of the alumni partner relations program.
