James Scotti, Fluor Corp.’s senior vice president and chief procurement officer, was inducted into the National Academy of Construction at the organization’s annual meeting.
The company said Scotti is the first procurement executive in the construction industry to be inducted.
Currently, Scotti oversees procurement, contract management, material management, sourcing, supplier quality, travel services, logistics and export control for all Fluor business groups.
“The National Academy of Construction’s choice of Jim Scotti underscores the important role he has played in solidifying Fluor’s leadership position in the engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance industry,” Chairman and CEO David Seaton said. “The recognition of Fluor’s chief procurement officer to this prestigious organization also highlights the importance we place on procurement and the ever evolving supply chain when delivering projects for our clients across the globe.”
Other Fluor executives inducted include Alan Boeckmann, former chairman and CEO; Vince Kontny, former vice chairman; and Bob Prieto, currently senior vice president of the company’s industrial and infrastructure business group.
Earlier this month, Prieto was named to the College of Fellows for the Construction Management Association of America.
