VMware has appointed Eric Gales country manager for its operations in Canada, having responsibility for leading the delivery of products and services into enterprise and commercial accounts in the country.
The company said he will work with Grant Aitken, Canada area vice president, and will also be responsible for managing Canadian sales including technical consulting, professional services and field marketing.
“VMware is building momentum in Canada, and we’re excited to have Eric on board to drive our next phase of growth,” said Jeff Casale, senior vice president and general manager for the Americas.
Gales, a two-decade information technology industry veteran, most recently served as head of Microsoft Canada and led sales, marketing and services for small and mid-market business.
He also held positions in different business areas for Microsoft United Kingdom, including leading the U.K. partner group and developing the company’s partner program.
