The San Diego office partnered with the United Service Organizations in the donation campaign and the equipment will be distributed on December 4.
“Our employees work closely with the military every day, and many of them have also served our country,” said Jordan Becker, vice president and general manager of BAE Systems GEOINT-ISR business. “We hope these bikes brighten the holidays for families who have made tremendous sacrifices for all of us.”
BAE said that the bikes will be given to family members of the Marines, Navy and Coast Guard as well as to the local families in the Wounded Warrior Project.
Since 1995 when the bike drive began, BAE employees have have raised enough money to donate 8,700 bikes to U.S. servicemen and women.
