EMCOR to Run Army Water, HVAC Systems; Michael Shelton Comments

EMCOR Government Services has won a potential $42.7 million contract from the U.S. Army to operate water and other household systems for the branch’s public works directorate, the company announced Wednesday.

The contract contains one base year and four option years and work started Nov. 1.

“EMCOR Government Services is pleased to have been selected by the Army to provide a diverse range of services required to support the directorate of public works at Fort Huachuca,” said Michael Shelton, chairman and chief executive. “Fort Huachuca is an historical Army post with an important mission, and we look forward to being a part of the team.”

The company will also operate and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; plumbing; and electrical systems at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Work will also include construction, pest control and maintenance of roads and grounds.
