Raytheon‘s intelligence and information systems business has renewed a certification from Carnegie Mellon University.
The company said the business reached a CMMI Level 3 rating attained by only 52 percent of all U.S. appraisals recorded by the university’s CMMI Institute.
“This is a huge achievement that demonstrates our continued focus on disciplined execution while ensuring we deliver quality products and solutions to meet our customers’ needs,” said Lynn Mortensen, vice president of engineering for the IIS business.
Raytheon said the IIS business first received the level three distinction in systems and software engineering for all sites in 2006.
The business then attained CMMI Level 3 for development and integrated product and process development in 2009, with recertification coming in October 2012.
