Deloitte has acquired substantially all of the assets of Oakland-based talent management and consulting firm Bersin & Associates, Deloitte said Thursday.
The Bersin team will operate as “Bersin by Deloitte” and provide employers analytics, research and tools for decision making.
“The rise of globalization, changes in the labor model, shifting workforce dynamics and significant cost pressures are elevating the strategic importance of the HR function among the C-suite,” said Barbara Adachi, national managing director for human capital at Deloitte Consulting LLP.
Adachi said the Bersin team will work to help clients in HR, talent management research, benchmarking and provide advisory services.
Deloitte said it made the acquisition to complement its human capital portfolio and the team will also help clients with technology selection through final implementation.
“We are excited about the combination both firms will bring to help clients manage the spectrum of their talent management needs to serve the workforce of the future,” said Josh Bersin, founder, CEO and president of Bersin.
