Deloitte has won a three-year, $105 million contract to build technology infrastructure supporting a statewide health insurance exchange in Rhode Island, GoLocalProv reports.
The contract is 84-percent federally funded and includes money allocated for developing state exchange systems and systems for human services programs such as Medicaid, according to the report.
Deloitte was one of three national firms that responded to the state’s request for proposals and this contract extends its work in healthcare reform and health insurance exchange-related projects, the report said.
The firm works with 10 states, including Washington and Alabama, and four federal agencies on health exchange and other projects.
Christine Ferguson, director of the state’s exchange program, said the system should be live by October.
