Science Applications International Corp. representatives will speak and provide in-booth presentations on energy grid management and smart grid technology later this month at a conference in San Diego.
The company said the DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition, an annual smart grid conference, will take place Jan. 27 through Jan. 31 at the San Diego Convention Center.
SAIC’s representatives will give presentations on the company’s smart grid-as-a-service product, microgrids and power delivery upgrades.
SAIC helps clients in their attempts to solve energy and smart grid problems, said JT Grumski, a senior vice president and business unit general manager.
Grumski said DistribuTech is an avenue for SAIC to share its ideas and technological experiences with utilities.
Company presentations will also focus on how utilities can bridge legacy systems with updated grids, SAIC said.
The company said more than 8,400 professionals from 48 countries attend DistribuTECH.
Topics at the conference include automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy integration, advanced metering, T&D system operation and reliability, power delivery equipment and water utility technology.
