Accenture has opened a new office in downtown Calgary featuring collaborative technology which is meant to help employees connect with clients, locally and around the world, according to a company statement.
“Our office showcases a wide range of collaborative workspaces and technologies and helps leverage Accenture’s ability to connect with the best talent worldwide,” said Luke O’Regan, managing director of Accenture’s Calgary operations.
“The opening of this new office supports our efforts to help businesses in Alberta – and around the world – achieve high performance,” he added.
Jeff Melanson, Banff Centre president, was the keynote speaker at the opening event held yesterday afternoon, at the new office located at Sunlife Plaza North Tower.
The Calgary office features:
- A “walk up and connect” technology experience that merges furniture and technology to help teams access and share information in one meeting through large-screen sharing
- A unified laptop communications platform that connects people everywhere through instant messaging, voice, video and online meetings
- Telepresence: delivers a “like being there” virtual meeting experience, with high-definition video and rich, pitch-perfect audio
The Calgary office is meant to operate in an environmentally sustainable and eco-efficient way, using ‘green’ operational practices and materials.
The office uses Forest Stewardship Council certified wood, carpet tile with up to 68 percent recycled content and flooring that is certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
