Ashburn Logo_ExecutiveBiz Ashburn Consulting has won a contract to develop a situational awareness portal for law enforcement and first responders meant to provide decision makers with as much information as possible in emergency  situations.

A prototype of the new technology has been approved for development and the Leesburg, Va.- based engineering, server infrastructure and public safety firm will set out to customize the product for the federal government.

According to the company, a team of developers, testers, network engineers, a compliance officer and a project manager will soon begin development efforts in the Northern Va. area.

“Since 2001, there has been a strong momentum shift in the market for public safety and law enforcement efforts to utilize technology as a way to enhance those services,” said Randy Tischler, vice president of operations.

“We have been involved in and helped lead solutions such as situational awareness portals, computer-aided dispatch solutions and fingerprint and facial recognition solutions,” he added.

The company specializes in providing network and network security solutions in complex environments.
