The Department of Homeland Security announced its 6th annual industry day to provide advanced acquisition planning information to industry, according to a FedBizOpps announcement.
DHS will conduct this one day event on March 18, 2013 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.
The industry day is meant to communicate the department’s requirements and increase competition by sharing contracting information. It will include two separate sessions.
The morning session will be procurement-centric emphasizing procurement issues, policies and programs, while the afternoon session will be Chief Information Officer IT-centric.
DHS said that large and small companies interested in DHS contracting and subcontracting opportunities representing all industries may attend the event.
The agency also mentioned that a webcast will be available for those unable to attend in person.
