More than 100 U.S.-based defense product and services firms visited Northrop Grumman‘s electronic systems headquarters in Linthicum, Md. as the company seeks partners for a Navy air and missile defense program.
The company also intended for the event to help attendees learn about how to participate in an open architecture environment on its other Defense Department programs, Northrop said Wednesday.
Technology businesses attending the industry day could provide Northrop hardware and software components for its proposal, Northrop said.
The forum also included one-on-one breakout sessions and the company asked small and disadvantaged businesses to attend.
