Parsons JV Wins Lead Design Role For $118M Road Project; Todd Wager Comments

ParsonsLogoA Parsons Corp.-led joint venture has won the lead design role for a $118.2 million project to design a 9-mile, four-lane divided freeway scheduled to open for full traffic in October 2014.

Upon completion, the freeway will connect Route 94 from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Interstate 64 in Missouri, Parsons said Thursday.

The completed freeway also include bridges, a single-point interchange, a folded diamond at Bryan Road and new ramps for the I-64 cloverleaf interchange.

Page Constructors will start construction work in early summer 2013 and segments of the project will begin opening in August 2013, the company said.

“Parsons is proud to be part of this significant project,” said Todd Wager, a Parsons group president, who added the company has previously worked with the state on infrastructure projects.

Missouri’s Department of Transportation selected Page Constructors based on criteria such as producing a design that factors in future expansions and ability to deliver a facility by Dec. 1, 2014, the company said.
