Shawn Degnan, a 14-year veteran of domestic and international capital markets transactions, has been promoted to managing director at MorganFranklin Consulting.
Degnan has led efforts to help clients enter initial public offerings by helping prepare for audit and review processes, analyzing internal controls and preparing financial and registration statements, the company said Wednesday.
In his new role, Degnan will head MorganFranklin’s initial public offering readiness services in technology and other markets and also manage client service delivery and business and people development efforts.
“Collaboration is at the core of our business, and I look forward to continuing to combine expertise in financial management, performance improvement, and technology enablement,” Degnan said
“For me, it is all about delivering tangible value to our clients so they can achieve long-term success,” he added.
Before joining MorganFranklin, Degnan spent 12 years with Ernst & Young LLP‘s assurance practice, where he led audits of global Securities and Exchange Commission registrants and advised clients on accounting and reporting matters.
He also spent three years in the Germany-based global capital markets group and led public filings into U.S., European and Asian markets.
Degnan’s areas of experience include industries such as high technology, financial services, media and entertainment and manufacturing, MorganFranklin says.
