Thales, Entrust Form Enterprise Encryption Product Team; Cindy Provin Comments

ThalesLogoThales and security technology provider Entrust will jointly deliver encryption and management products to customers aimed at helping them secure their enterprises and protect cloud-based information.

The companies intend to help clients defend against online and internal threats with Thales technology that is interoperable with Entrust’s products, the companies said Tuesday.

Entrust will re-sell the joint offerings, intending to complement both its enterprise and managed service offerings.

Cindy Provin, president of Thales’ e-security business, said the company has previously worked with Entrust and aims to expand the partnership to meet growing demand for products that address evolving security threats.

Bill Conner, Entrust president and CEO, said the companies intend to help customers deploy enterprise and managed or cloud models.

Thales will offer its nShield hardware security modules as part of Entrust’s managed PKI service package through the partnership.
