Woolpert Providing Engineering Design For Parsons $1.5B FAA NextGen Team; Tom Mochty Comments

Woolpert-logoGeospatial design firm Woolpert is a member of the Parsons Corp.-led team providing technical support services to the Federal Aviation Administration under a potential $1.5 billion contract.

Woolpert previously worked with the FAA on a predecessor contract and won a larger engineering design role on the new contract, the company said Monday.

The team maps airspace obstruction, surveys aeronautics and provides geospatial information and engineering design services to the agency for its NextGen initiative and the National Airspace System.

“We’ve enjoyed a longstanding, successful partnership with Parsons, and look forward to continued success through this contract supporting the FAA in its transformation of the NAS to meet its NextGen initiatives,” said Tom Mochty, a Woolpert senior vice president.

The potential 10-year TSSC 4 contract includes four base years and work will occur in all 50 states and in U.S. territories worldwide.
