Sheridan joins Software AG as the company is increasing its investments in the Middle East and Africa, the company said Sunday.
“His new role puts him at the forefront of Software AG’s strategic growth plans in Middle East, Africa and Turkey,” said Marco Gerazounis, SVP for the EMEA region at Software AG.
Before joining Software AG, Sheridan led Oracle’s middleware business in the Middle East and Africa and also served as a VP and country leader for the South Africa business.
He has also served as VP and managing director of Oracle Ireland and helped lead its Dublin-based shared services center, which manages back office services in the EMEA region.
Oracle credits Sheridan with starting the center and leading its nearly 400 workers to build a reference site for customers.
