Raytheon’s space and airborne systems business area has selected San Diego-based Kyocera America Inc. to receive a supplier excellence award for performance in 2012.
The 3-Star Supplier Excellence award acknowledges Kyocera’s achievements in areas such as overall quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and total business and financial health, Kyocera said Monday.
Ron Useltonat, Raytheon subcontracts manager, presented a trophy at the Kyocera facility in San Diego and Rick Sigliano, Kyocera vice president of North American product sales accepted the award on behalf of the package and module provider.
“Kyocera America is honored to receive this prestigious award for the second year in a row,” Sigliano said.
According to Kyocera, winning suppliers for 2012 represented less than 1 percent of Raytheon’s space and airborne systems supply base.
Kyocera produces ceramic packages, modules and contract assembly services for customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
More than 400 employees work at the company’s San Diego location.
