Software AG Invests in Mobile Startup metaquark; Wolfram Jost Comments

SoftwareAGlogoSoftware AG has invested in mobile solutions provider metaquark as part of its strategy to expand digital enterprise offerings.

The Berlin-based company has already combined its mobile technology with Software AG’s webMethods mobile suite which helps enterprises advance their business operations and decision making, according to a Software AG statement.

“We can now deliver this business intelligence to users anywhere, on any mobile platform, in an easily managed and secure environment,” said Wolfram Jost, CTO at Software AG.

The webMethods mobile solution helps companies act in real time on business insights coming from big data, according to the company.

The platform manages the full lifespan of mobile applications, from development, deployment via application stores and infrastructure monitoring.

The investment includes a buyout option.
