CACI International Inc.’s enterprise information technology business unit has received the capability maturity model integration for services level 5 appraisal with services system development from the CMMI Institute.
The accreditation suggests that the Enterprise Information Technology Systems, Solutions and Support (EITSSS) division of CACI has continued to enhance its quantitative-based processes to meet its objectives and needs, the company said Monday.
“CACI continues to seek and obtain the quality management processes and systems that are most important to our clients and that clients are increasingly expecting,” said Ken Asbury CACI president and CEO.
Independent consulting firm ATKOTT Inc. executed the CMMI-SVC evaluation on EITSSS software implementation, training, service and help desks, making the organization the first to receive the level 5 appraisal in the U.S.
With the CMMI level 5 accreditation, customers have the guarantee of project execution as the appraisal helps to improve the process performance through technology upgrades and gradual process enhancements.
“Clients are assured that software is effectively implemented and that software users benefit from support services that consistently generate gains in user productivity and savings in time and cost,” said John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.
EITSSS provides software implementation and application to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
