Jack Allen, most recently president of Navistar‘s North American truck and parts sector, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
His appointment is effective immediately and comes nearly 10 months after he took leadership of the sector, Navistar said Tuesday.
The 32-year company veteran started as a design engineer and then moved into leadership roles such as president of the company’s engine group and VP and general manager of the parts organization.
As president of Navistar’s engine group, he led the company’s acquisition of Brazilian engine producer MWM and partnership with MAN of Germany.
“Together, Jack and I look forward to working with our experienced leadership team and talented group of employees as we take further steps to strengthen our North American core businesses,” said Troy Clarke, president and CEO.
