Jeremy Wilkinson, a 21-year veteran of the variable speed drives industry, has joined Siemens Industry UK as business manager of hybrid drives for commercial vehicles in the U.K. and Ireland.
He succeeds Mick Jones, who retired at the end of 2012, Process and Control Today reported Monday.
“Jeremy will be working closely with customers to help them on their important strategic journey through the coming years,” said Andrew Peters, director of Siemens’ drive technologies division.
Wilkinson will aim to grow the conglomerate’s presence in the sustainable transport market in both the U.K. and Ireland, the website reports.
Before joining Siemens, Wilkinson advised manufacturing companies on energy efficiency, harmonics and best practices for controlling emissions, according to the report.
