Joseph Martore, president and CEO of Calibre Systems, is a finalist for Ernst & Young‘s “Entrepreneur of the Year in Greater Washington” award for 2013.
A panel of independent judges evaluated 80 nominations for the award, scheduled to be awarded June 20 during a gala in Tysons Corner, Va., Calibre said Friday.
Calibre credits Martore with helping the company increase sales and revenue by 34 percent over the last four years and growing share value to 70 percent during that time.
“Martore’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit have transformed our company by developing a sense of entrepreneurship in our employee-owner,” said Thomas Carney, Calibre board chairman.
The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs for achievement in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
