Bob Tamaru serves as director of technology and strategic development for Argon ST, a Boeing subsidiary within the electronic and mission systems division of the network and space systems business.
The 16-year company veteran also serves as the division’s technology integrator and works in the C4ISR market.
Prior to his current position, he led the business development organization for more than a year, ran operational business areas and led open systems architectures for the COMINT/IO product lines.
Tamaru joined Argon ST in 1997 after serving as software director in Raytheon‘s electronic systems group.
He joined Raytheon in 1994 upon that company’s acquisition of E-Systems, which he joined in 1989 after E-Systems purchased Engineering Research Associates in 1989.
Tamaru started his career in 1977 at HRB Singer.
Tamaru holds a bachelor’s degree in systems and control engineering and a master’s degree in computer heuristics and numerical methods.
He has also done doctoral work on computer science, concentrated in artificial intelligence.
