The Tech Council of Maryland recognized Carahsoft and Lockheed Martin for their contributions to the state’s technology and life science industries, TCM said May 17.
“Winners of the 2013 Tech Awards exemplify this broad cross section of individuals and companies that make up the Tech Council membership and are key to driving advances in all aspects of technology,” said Doug Doerfler, chairman of TCM’s board and founding president and CEO of MaxCyte.
“I’m honored to accept this Hall of Fame Award on behalf of Lockheed Martin, and proud of our 25-year history with the Tech Council of Maryland,” said Sondra Barbour, executive vice president of Lockheed’s information systems and global solutions.
Carahsoft’s Government Contracting Firm of the Year award recognizes the company’s efforts to help the government fulfill its information technology requirements.
The Reston, Va.-based company has more than 100 partners such as VMware, Symantec, Adobe, Red Hat, EMC, HP and SAP.
