Lockheed Martin has won four awards from the Manufacturing Leadership Council, recognizing the company’s role in the global manufacturing industry.
The company accepted the Manufacturing Leadership 100 awards Wednesday at the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, Fla., Lockheed said Friday.
Lockheed’s replenishment center redesign project at its Fort Worth, Texas aeronautics plant won the council’s Manufacturing Operational Excellence award and its digital thread initiative won in the Innovative Enterprise category.
According to the company, the redesign project aimed to address material flow at the Fort Worth plant and the thread project was for the F-35 fighter jet’s lifecycle development and deployment.
The MLS, an invitation-only executive network, also recognized Lockheed for winning ML100 awards in three consecutive years and for sustainability efforts in its corporate energy, environment, safety and health organization.
