Eaton has also released an updated version of its Intelligent Power Manager software intended to help users monitor NetApp storage platforms and protect their data in the event of a power outage, Eaton said Thursday.
“One of the goals of the NetApp Alliance Partner Program is to work with companies that have a shared vision of addressing the growing requirements of today’s complex enterprise IT environments,” said Maria Olson, NetApp global alliance lead.
The software is also designed to integrate with VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Red Hat and Xen applications.
“Pre-validated software empowers businesses by accelerating the speed of deployment, streamlining support and simplifying management,” said Herve Tardy, Eaton’s vice president and general manager for distributed power quality.
Intelligent Power Manager also is designed with load shedding features and to help customers backup and recover data.
