Science Applications International Corp. has won a contractor of the year award in the large business category from NASA, recognizing the company’s contributions to the agency and the Marshall Space Flight Center.
The agency presented the award to to SAIC Program Managers Chuck Lewis and Mike Mink on Wednesday at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Ala., SAIC said Friday.
This is SAIC’s second consecutive Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year award from the MSFC.
SAIC was recognized for its support of NASA’s Information Technology Infrastructure Integration Program, an IT consolidation program comprising of four contracts.
Nazzic Keene, president of SAIC’s enterprise IT sector, said the company has worked with the agency for more than 35 years.
The company provides NASA with enterprise resource planning applications; wide area network and local area network services; desktop and mobile support; and external-facing web services.
MSFC Director Patrick Scheuermann and Deputy Director Teresa Vanhooser presented the award to SAIC during the annual Center Director’s Breakfast at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration.
