Steven Thomas, most recently a program manager at NJVC, has been promoted to technical operations director for the company’s team in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Thomas will work with engineers to develop program roadmaps and coordinate with the company’s defense and intelligence customers, NJVC said Wednesday.
As program manager, he led a government customer’s multi-year data center modernization program, comprising of 50 individual projects running simultaneously and valued at nearly $120 million per year, NJVC said.
Prior to that, he served as project manager and helped implement new programs and processes.
He joined NJVC in 2008 after previously serving as a project manager at L-3 Communications, where he oversaw joint deployable intelligence support system collection management mission applications systems.
Thomas also has served as a mission chief at Science Applications International Corp. and Global Payments.
His military career includes active duty service in the U.S. Navy as intelligence supervisor and project manager in the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command’s mobile inshore undersea warfare unit, within U.S. Central Command’s area of operations.
In that role, he oversaw an intelligence program and command and control programs.
