Cubic to Develop Navy Combat Ship Training; Bill Rebarick Comments

cubic corp logoCubic’s Orlando, Fla.-based simulation systems division has won $30 million in delivery orders to develop instructor-led training curriculum for the U.S. Navy‘s Littoral Combat Ship program.

The unit intends to produce courseware for the Naval Air Warfare Center training systems division’s engineers on board the ships, Cubic said Wednesday.

Bill Rebarick, deputy general manager of Cubic’s advanced learning solutions business, said the company aims for the contract to evolve adult learning within a synthetic environment.

The Navy’s LCS program aims to build surface vessels for military operations in shallow and near-shore waters in collaboration with U.S. government and industry organizations.

Cubic’s advanced learning solutions and mission support services businesses will work with subcontractors on the project.
