In-Q-Tel Plans Artificial Intell, Flash, Solar Tech Investments; Stuart Frankel Comments

IQI logoIn-Q-Tel plans to invest in flash storage, artificial intelligence and solar energy technology development in a bid to create related offerings for government use, Information Week reported Wednesday.

Patience Wait writes that the CIA investment arm has signed an agreement with Pure Storage of California, which will use the fund to develop solid-stage storage products for federal agencies.

In-Q-Tel will also work with Goal Zero, whose portable solar-generated kits can power anything from small gadgets to large appliances.

IQT signed a third agreement with Narrative Science of Chicago, which will build a version of its Quill artificial intelligence engine for government clients using language and data analytics.
