International SOS Opens 4th Office in China; Arnaud Vaissie Comments

International SOSInternational SOS has opened a new office in southwest China as part of its expansion plans in the region.

The medical and travel security services company inaugurated the new space in Chengdu on June 5, International SOS said.

“International SOS is a company that follows its clients,” said Arnaud Vaissié, International SOS co-founder, chairman and CEO, noting southwest China’s growing reputation as a top location for offices and factories.

“With so many companies in Chengdu today, the establishment of our office will enable us to support our clients’ needs in the region even more.”

During the same week, International SOS attended the Global Forum 2013 conference as the official healthcare partner of the three-day Fortune event.

The Chengdu location brings the number of International SOS offices mainland China to four.

The company maintains an additional five medical clinics, a round-the-clock assistance center in Beijing and Hong Kong and more than 40 on-site clinics in the country.
