She succeeds Anthony Provenzano, who is stepping down after 24 years with LMI, the nonprofit government consulting firm said Monday.
LMI says Becker is a veteran of the auditing, systems management and federal contracting sectors.
“Lori Becker arrives at LMI as we are planning to expand our capabilities and grow as an organization,” said Nelson Ford, LMI president and CEO.
He added Becker will aim to use her experience in mission-centered organizations and help LMI deal with challenges in the government contracting sector.
Before joining Akima, Becker served as CFO at Vangent and at Deltek.
While at Deltek, she named a finalist for the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s “CFO of the Year” award.
