Nazim Fraijat has been promoted to managing director at EMC to oversee business development operations in Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, Lebanon, Iraq and Africa.
He will work to strengthen demand for the company’s products and service offerings in the region and report to Mohammed Amin, EMC senior vice president and regional manager, EMC said Wednesday.
In his 13 years with the company, Fraijat has assumed various regional director and general manager roles for the Africa and Middle East markets.
“Over the last several years, Nazim has led EMC’s backup and recovery division in Turkey, emerging Africa and the Middle East while managing EMC’s operations across the South Gulf district,” Amin said.
In his new role, Fraijat will seek to leverage on this experience and the partnerships he has formed, along with his technical and industry knowledge, to help the company achieve its goals for the Levant and emerging Africa markets, Amin added.
Fraijat, who worked for AT&T and NCR before joining EMC, graduated at the University of the District of Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in science and electrical engineering.
