Serco Picks SunGard for IT, Cloud Project Project; Garry Fingland Comments

Serco Logo_ExecutiveBizSerco Group has awarded SunGard Availability Services a five-year contract to support the company’s IT infrastructure overhaul program, Continuity Insurance & Risk Online reports.

SunGard will provide Serco a managed private and public cloud and access to recovery services portfolio.

SunGard will also create a technology center in Birmingham, representing its fifth such center in the U.K.

Keith Tilley, Sungard managing director for the U.K. and Ireland and executive vice president for Europe, said the company will work with Serco to build its systems integration capability.
