Tetra Tech has won a Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence from the U.S. Small Business Administration for working to create subcontracting opportunities for small businesses.
The company has awarded more than $750 million in contracts to small-sized suppliers and subcontractors over the past five years, Tetra Tech said Thursday.
“We are proud to have established subcontracting practices across our broad federal customer base to recognize and encourage the use of small and disadvantaged businesses,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO.
“The involvement of these partners in our global subcontracting initiatives also supports the goals of our customers,” he added.
Tetra Tech also has participated in mentor-protege initiatives with the SBA and Defense Department since 1993.
